unlessの表現について教えてください。

unlessとは

英文契約書の中でよく出てくる言葉の中にunlessという言葉があります。Unlessは、「～の場合を除いて」とか、「～でない限り」という意味になります。

unless otherwise agreedの表現

Unlessが含まれる言葉に、Unless otherwise agree to in writing（別途文書で合意された場合を除き）、Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement（本契約書の中で別途記載がある場合を除き）というような形で用いられることがあります。

unlessのサンプル１

This Agreement shall become effective on the date of this Agreement and shall, unless earlier terminated pursuant to any provisions of this Article, remain in force for one (1) year thereafter.

（訳）本契約は、本契約書の日にちにおいて発効し、本条の規定に従い早期に契約が終了されない限り、以後、1 年間有効に存続するものとする。

The Receiving Party shall not make any copies of the Confidential Information of the Disclosing Party unless the same are previously approved in writing by the Disclosing Party.

（訳）受領当事者は、開示当事者が事前に書面で同意した場合を除き、開示当事者の秘密情報のコピーを作成してはならない。

In the event of any conflict between this Agreement and individual purchase order, the terms and conditions of individual purchase order shall take precedence over this Agreement, unless otherwise explicitly specified.

（訳）本契約の条項と個別の注文書との間に食い違いが生じた場合、別途明確に定められた場合を除き、個別の注文書の条項が本契約の条項に優先するものとする。

This Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date and shall continue to and through 30th day of September 2021, unless renewed by further agreement in writing between the Parties.

（訳）本契約は、効力発生日において発効し、当事者間において文書により更新が合意される場合を除き、2021年9月30日まで有効である。

Neither Party shall have the right to terminate this Agreement at any other time, unless such termination is mutually agreed to by the Parties hereto.

（訳）いずれの当事者も、両当事者が別途合意した場合を除き、それ以外の時に本契約を解除する権限を有しない。

Unless either party notifies the other of the termination of the Agreement at least three months prior to the expiration of the period of the Agreement, the Agreement shall be automatically renewed for another one-year period with the same terms and conditions, and the same shall apply thereafter.

（訳）契約期間満了の3カ月前までに、いずれかの当事者から他方当事者に対して契約終了の通知がなされない限り、本契約は同一内容により自動的に1年間更新されるものとし、その後も同様とする。
